“the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”1 Peter 3:4
I want to encourage you today that the things God has called YOU to in this life, whether it involves big stages with lights and an audience, or the quietness of home where no one sees the details you take care of every day….
It matters.
Don’t let anyone or anything make you feel like your calling is insignificant. Your calling may feel less than, or small, or not impactful…
you may see others following their callings and it looks much more glamorous than yours…
but hold onto this dear sister,
The seemingly small stuff…it matters….a quiet life….it matters….a gentle, and humble spirit….it matters. Your work, even though it may not look like “real” missionary work or important work…it matters. Your work is spiritual work.
The things God has called you to right now…the places He has you right now…it’s so important. It may feel small, but if no one was called to the seemingly “small” stuff….the world would be a mess.
Your home, your family, the place God has you right now….is your mission field. You delight God by sinking into your calling…you make Him smile when you embrace your calling. Don’t look around anymore and compare what you are doing to anybody else…
EMBRACE YOUR CALLING.
Be you. Seek Him, make getting to know Him your purpose, and He will delight to remind you day in and day out that…
What you do is absolutely significant…
and He wouldn’t want you doing anything else but being you.
Prayer: “Lord, let my heart make getting to know you my greatest purpose. Thank you that the work and the callings you have given me…it’s all spiritual work and it all matters. Thank you for gently reminding my heart that I am significant to You and that when I focus my life on You, I am free to be me…no one else.”
