WHEN YOU NEED TRUTH TO WASH OVER YOU

Sometimes our hearts just need little reminders…sometimes they just need to hear TRUTH out loud, above the sounds of noises of the day…above the voices of the world…amongst the sound of busy…

Today may your soul come up just a little bit, or quite a lot, for some air…for some refreshment as you soak in some simple truth for your soul that is on my heart to pass along to you wherever you are: in the ballet studio, at home raising little ones, in your workplace, at school…let your heart soak it in…

• Your are stunningly beautiful….yes YOU! “How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful.” Song of Songs 4:1
• You can be confident because God is in control of your life… “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
• You can enjoy solitude, rest, and time to be renewed...and you don’t have to feel guilty about needing/wanting that time. “I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Jeremiah 31:25
• You are loved no matter what….yep…no matter what. “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.” Jeremiah 31:3
• You are forgiven...no, really forgiven…you don’t have to keep confessing that same sin over and over again…it’s paid for…be free. “Blessed  is he (or she) whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” Psalm 32:1…and I love this…”blessed” means “happy”. :)
• You are good at what God has gifted you to do...really…you are! Believe Him! “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” Psalm 139:13-14
• You have a constant Helper, ready to listen, ready to guide you. “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25
• Those prayer requests on your heart…He hears them and an answer is on the way. “Pray continually.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

As you soak in some truth today, I leave you with a prayer that I hope draws you deep into the wells of God’s grace, love, and refreshment that your heart needs today…

Recharge my battery by helping me come to You for the fuel I need.

Refuel my weariness with Your power and grace.

Renew my heart, mind, and soul as I look to You for refreshment.

Revive my joy, reminding me I have all I need in You.

Reset my perspective, reminding me You are in control over all of my heart’s desires.

Release my heart from its concerns, worries, and fears.

Rain down Your light on my heart.

Redeem my heart from any oppression I feel today.

Let my heart run to You and not other things.

Let my heart rejoice through the moments of my day.

Let my heart return to You when I’ve drifted away.

Let my heart rest in Your loving embrace, knowing You’ve got my everything.

Let my heart take refuge in You alone no matter what my day holds.

Let my heart remain in You, and You in me.

Let my heart be rejuvenated by the sweet truth that You love me no matter what.”
