Do you ever feel like God is trying to get your attention about something? I am not sure if it is all the spring flowers beginning to bud, sprout, or blossom or what…but I feel like God is trying to show me this…
BlOOMING TAKES TIME.
I remember when I became a professional ballet dancer. The moment my season began…I wanted to excel, be my very best, and blossom as an artist…like right then! I wanted to reach my potential…like, immediately! As a mom too…I want to be the best mom I can be… right now!
Can you relate?
But as I watch the flowers and the trees take in the rain, go through seasons of dryness, even shedding their leaves, and slowly, ever so slowly seeing them start to sprout some green…
it occurs to me…
They are always in the process of blooming.
And maybe I need to learn from the “lilies of the field.” (Matthew 6:28)…
Maybe…
WE ARE ALWAYS IN THE PROCESS OF BLOOMING.
Becoming the women we want to be takes time, it takes growth, it takes refining, it takes shaping, it takes trying things and messing up, it takes reprioritizing…
and it takes…
A GARDENER.
I am so thankful that we don’t have to blossom into all that God sees that we can be by ourselves. I would be a mess, y’all! Without God, the Gardener of my soul, my soul would be a wreck. And what a patient Gardener He is…in my impatience, I always want to see the blossoming in my life, the becoming the woman God wants me to be…like ASAP! And I want to be the best dancer I can be…yesterday please!
Just like dancing…it’s always a process…the process really never stops. Growth and maturing keeps happening…and just like the flowers of the field…again and again, they blossom, then they are cut back, then they soak in nutrients, then they slowly, so slowly, begin to bud, and sprout, and blossom.
And God wants to take your hand through that process. Where are you in the process? I am feeling like a bud right now… :)…currently, something is growing…something is budding in my heart…and I remember…
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 42:19
And oh, I want to leave you with this…
The sweet and amazing thing about our Savior is that He is always up to something good and new in your life…He’s always working on the buds, the sprouts, and the blossoms in your life…all He needs is for you to listen and to watch…
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful…remain in Me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” John 15:1-4
So if today, you feel like a bud, or not even a bud…maybe just a stem…hold on dear one…
YOU ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BLOOMING.
