Today, leap into the arms of God as you take leaps of faith towards His heart. Bring Him every worry. Bring Him every care. Bring Him every dream. As you leap towards Him, He leaps towards you. As you leap towards Him, He tends your heart and your needs.
“He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the heights.” Psalm 18:33
For a dancer, leaping across the stage feels like her version of flying. She soars through the air like a bird, and for a moment in time, she feels the air underneath her, carrying her through space. Getting there takes a thoughtful preparation. She must master her preparation because taking off is just as important as the leap itself, and the landing may be even more important. She takes off with power and full-out momentum, and she must land with gentleness and care in order to prevent injury. Her leap is thoughtful, yet free. Her leap takes effort, and yet she feels carried.
Taking a leap towards God can feel scary. Trusting Him with our hearts can feel risky. Trusting Him with our lives and our dreams can feel counter-cultural. But as we learn to leap towards Him, He leaps right towards us and meets us and carries us. He carefully and thoughtfully prepares us for our leaps in life…the dreams of our hearts, obstacles ahead, challenging moments in your day, or anything else that feels daunting in your life. He equips ups, trains us, and leads us with His Word. When we leap towards Him, we feel carried in life. We feel free. We feel moved by this divine love. And when we come down from the big leaps of life, He carefully tends our way, guarding us, guiding us, and tending our hearts for the next big leap.
Every day is full of leaping as we let God in.
From the moment you open your eyes in the morning, He is there, ready to take your hand and lead you through the day’s leaps, ups, downs, and surprises. He desires to do this day with You. He desires to give you the power and the momentum to do this day with joy and His peace. He desires to carry you when you feel the weights of life entangling you, and He desires to carefully tend Your way when you feel cautious or anxious. He’s there all through your day, tending Your sweet heart.
So will you take His hand? Will You let Him guide you through this day? He has surprises ahead that will take leaps of faith. He wants to secure your heart as you trust in Him. He wants to be the One you leap to.
“Lord, give me grace to take Your hand and let You lead my life. Here are the leaps ahead that have me worried, concerned, or fearful. (List those things here) Will You take over? Give me grace to trust Your sovereign way in my life. I long to dance my life with freedom and joy. Be the One I turn to to carry me through the leaps ahead.”
