I hope many of you are beginning to dream with God either as you read the book, Dreaming with God, or after you’ve finished the last page. I think of each of you often, wondering what you’re dreaming with God about in particular. Maybe you’re dreaming of a job, a role, provision, or even a miracle. Whatever your dream, whether it’s big, small, fancy, nothing fancy, impossible, or totally doable, today I want to encourage you with this:
You can trust God to orchestrate.
You can trust that God is moving, working, and orchestrating behind the scenes of your dream on your behalf. Sometimes I forget that I can let go of the dream I so desperately want and truly let God lead. I can truly let God handle all the details. While He may nudge us with His Spirit to take a step here or there, (“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.'” Isaiah 30:21) we can always know He’s moving behind the scenes. We can trust Him to orchestrate our dreams.
I imagine there are all these moving pieces behind the scenes of our dreams, and God, as the orchestrator, is carefully working to move all the pieces together into this beautiful harmony. He’s tenderly hard at work on your behalf. He knows how much you care about this dream. In fact, He’s moving in you, shaping your desires, and leading your dreaming heart. (“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13) He knows what you desire. He knows what you’re dreaming about. And like a father loves to give good gifts to his children, so our heavenly Father delights in giving you the dreams of your heart. (“how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11)
As we talk about in Dreaming with God, not every dream we dream will necessarily come into fruition. But even in that, God orchestrates. He is working all things together for good. (Romans 8:28) His plans and His heart for you are good.
So you can rest. You can take the steps He’s nudging you to take, but then, you can rest knowing He’s got the rest. He’s composing behind the scenes all the beauty of your beautiful dreams. You can let go. You can trust Him to take care of all of it. You can trust Him to orchestrate it all.
Questions for your heart:
What dreams do you need to entrust to God completely?
What’s hard about letting go and letting God orchestrate?
What practical things can you do to truly let God lead?

Thank you for this. My dream is to move out of the city we live in to a smaller town. I’m 59 years old so it feels like time is of the essence and it’s hard to not orchestrate. Some things I have no control over so it’s going to have to be God. I’m trying to enjoy sitting in the audience and watching Him conduct this new symphony of our lives. Have a blessed day!

You write with such BEAUTY! A truly gifted writer indeed. Thank you for helping me continue to believe GOD for my dream, but helping me let go and fully entrust HIM to bring it to past!! I think desperation was causing me to hold on to the dream to tight, and not allow GOD to bring it to past!
