Whatever you’re praying for,
Whatever you’re going through,
Whatever you’re unsure about,
Whatever direction you are seeking,
Whatever answer you are waiting for,
sweet ones,
God’s got this. You are not alone on this journey.
I know when we are in that praying mode, going through something, feeling uncertain, looking for direction and answers, it’s easy to feel alone in it. It’s easy to let doubts creep in and steal our faith.
Even in the praying, the going through, the uncertainty, the seeking, the waiting, God has this. He’s got you. He’s got me. We are not alone in our journeys.
It’s like we know it, but sometimes our faith feels foggy. Sometimes we get a little wobbly in our hearts.
I am queen of foggy faith.
Queen of wobbliness of heart.
And if you are too, don’t be hard on yourself. Faith in the God of the universe whom we cannot see with our physical eyes does not come naturally. It goes against every ounce of practicality and reality that’s in us. It’s okay if your faith in God feels hard sometimes. Or unnatural. Or even a little crazy! It’s okay if you feel like you don’t have faith to have faith.
All it takes is a seed.
A mustard seed, Jesus said.
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed….” (Luke 17:6)
Our faith is kind of like a muscle, and the more we exercise it, the stronger it becomes. And sometimes, I think the way to exercise it is to preach the gospel to our own hearts. Remind ourselves of God’s truth. The more we remember, the stronger our faith in the unseen God will be.
So when you feel a little unsure, a little foggy in your faith, a little wobbly in your heart,
give yourself the same grace God gives you.
Don’t beat yourself up for your doubts, replace them with God’s truth and let Him build up your faith.
