I WANT TO BE NEW

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them.” 2 Corinthians 5:17-19

I don’t know what season of life you are in. I may not know the details of your day. I don’t know what you are going through. I don’t know what struggles you are facing. I don’t know the obstacles that are defeating you. I don’t know the doubts that are in your heart. I don’t know exactly where you’ve been. I don’t know exactly what you have faced. I may know some of your story….but I don’t know the nitty gritty details of your story that make you feel insecure and alone. I don’t know where you are today. I don’t know what you are facing tomorrow…..

I know sometimes you feel alone. I know often you struggle to find purpose. I know there are moments where you feel like giving up. I know you feel like no one gets it. I know that sometimes you feel guilty in your heart for wishing things were different. I know you may feel like your past is too much of a mess to deserve a fresh start. I know sometimes you feel like you could never be “good enough” for God to love you. I know you sometimes wonder where God is in it all. And I know that sometimes you wonder if there is a God at all….

I may not know your whole story, but I hope I can offer you hope today…

There is One who knows exactly where you are.

There is One who notices you.

There is One who knows every detail of your day.

There is One who knows what you are going through.

There is One who knows what struggles you are facing and what obstacles are defeating you.

There is One who knows the doubts in your heart.

There is One who knows exactly where you have been.

There is One who knows exactly what you have faced.

There is One who knows the nitty gritty details of your story that make you feel insecure and alone.

There is One who knows what you are facing today and tomorrow.

There is One who knows you feel alone.

There is One who knows you struggle to find purpose.

There is One who knows that sometimes you feel like giving up.

There is One who knows you feel like no one gets it.

There is One who knows the guilt you feel for wishing things were different.

There is One who knows you feel like your past is too messy.

There is One who knows you don’t feel good enough to deserve God’s love.

There is One who knows you wonder where He is.

There is One who knows you wonder if there is a God at all.

Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart. He gets you because He made you, and He wants to give you a fresh start today. He is pursuing your heart… He wants to dance through this life with you….will you take His hand?

Prayer: “Lord you know where I am at….I want to let you in….I don’t even feel like I know how. So here’s my heart…show me how to let you in my life. It’s hard to have faith and to believe in You….I guess that’s why it is called faith. Help me believe.”
