“Walk in the light, as he is in the light.” 1 John 1:7
“‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” Jeremiah 29:11
I am so human. I spent many moments of my dancing career trying to figure out future moments…trying to figure out the next step in my dancing career. I spent many moments wondering how dancing and being a mom was going to work. I spent many moments worrying about what life after a dancing career would look like. I spent many moments worrying about the future or dwelling over the past…meanwhile…missing the moments.
Aren’t we all so human?
Don’t we all sometimes just forget to ENJOY THE MOMENTS?
I’m not sure why it’s so hard to live in and enjoy the moments but I have a present for you this Christmas season…unwrap it slowly…treasure it carefully…
God is in the present moment, dear one.
God is not in the past…He was…when you were there…but no, He’s not there.
God is not in the future…He knows all about it…and He sees it all…and He will be there when you get there…but no, He’s not there.
God is in the present moment, with YOU, dear one.
Will you let the Christmas bells, the wrapping paper, the bows, the tinsel…will you let it all point your heart to the present moment where God is waiting for you?
He came to earth to walk with you through the moments.
And when we stay with Him in the moments…our hearts dance.
Our hearts light up, just like the Christmas lights, when we walk in the light as He is in the light. When we walk with Him in the present moment, our souls light up and we are free to truly be in and enjoy the moments.
When we stay with Him in the moment, it’s as if our hearts are proclaiming…”God has my future…it’s in His hands.”
Sisters, I am not saying this is an easy thing to do. It goes against everything in us. But I hold onto this… “For nothing is impossible with God.” Luke 1:37
It’s possible…and it it’s the most beautiful place to be.
Prayer: “Dear Lord, help me to enjoy every moment by staying in the moment with You. Will You help me stay in the moment with You? Will You help me release my cares, my worries, and my fears to You…trusting You with my future?”
